What you're agreeing to
ParParIQ is a golf tournament scorecard app. If you're playing in a tournament, you can opt in to receive text messages about that tournament. You opt in inside the ParParIQ app by entering your own mobile number and ticking an explicit, un-checked consent checkbox that reads:
"I agree to receive SMS text messages from [Tournament Name] / ParParIQ about this tournament — announcements, schedule changes, and score notices. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
Consent is collected before any message is sent, and applies only to the specific tournament you opted into. We do not sell or share your number with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing.
Consent is optional — it is not required to use the app. You can sign in with the 4-digit access code your tournament admin provides, or by scanning the QR code printed on your scorecard. Providing your phone number and opting in to texts is entirely your choice, and you can opt out at any time (see below).

Message frequency
Occasional and event-driven — typically fewer than 5 messages per tournament.

Msg & data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt out
Reply STOP to any message, or turn off "📱 Text notifications" in the app at any time. Either one stops all further messages. Every message also includes the STOP instruction.
How we collect your consent
Opt-in is an explicit, affirmative action you take in the ParParIQ app — there are no pre-checked boxes, and consent is never bundled with our Terms or required to sign in:
- You enter your own mobile number.
- You tick a consent checkbox that starts un-checked; the "Turn on" button stays disabled until you tick it.
- The checkbox text is the consent statement quoted above.
- Each opt-in is recorded with a timestamp, and you can reverse it anytime with the in-app toggle or by replying STOP.
No message is sent to any number until that number's owner has opted in this way.
